About me
Theoretical & Computational Neuroscience
I am a first-year PhD student in Statistics and Computer Science at Bocconi University, with a background in Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano.
My interests lie in theoretical and computational neuroscience. I am particularly interested in mathematical models of neural circuits and in understanding how connectivity and interactions between neurons give rise to collective dynamics and computation. More broadly, I am interested in the mathematical modeling of complex biological systems.
Research
My master’s research investigated how cortical connectivity shapes neural activity and visual feature selectivity. Using anatomical and functional data from the MICrONS dataset, I developed spiking-network models to explore the relationship between circuit structure and collective dynamics.
A manuscript based on this work is currently in preparation in collaboration with Prof. Alessandro Sanzeni and Prof. Alberto Antonietti.
